The European Peace Fund, through a model of "Budget Support" will contribute to the implementation of the National Policy for Social and Economic Reincorporation of FARC-EP ex-members. This modality  involves annual direct financial transfers to the country's national treasury. This support will contribute to the implementation of the entire reintegration policy, that is:

• Improve coordination and planning between the actors involved in the process of comprehensive reincorporation of former FARC-EP members and their families.
• Strengthen the social fabric, coexistence and reconciliation, at the local level and with a focus on communities.
• Social and economic reincorporation of former FARC-EP members and their families, according to their interests, needs, and potential.
• Strengthen human rights of ex-combatants and their families.

People's rights, gender equality, and the approach of empowering the most vulnerable; women, children and people with disabilities are instrumental in the budgetary support for reincorporation.

It is a comprehensive support for the implementation of point 3.2 of the Peace Agreement: Social and Economic Reincorporation of former FARC-EP members. Contributes to several Sustainable Development Goals, SDGs, especially the 16 "Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions".

The model includes close progress monitoring in the implementation of the PNRSE and funds transfer are subject to concrete results. If the Government has achieved the agreed results, the funds will be transferred and otherwise retained. The results linked to the funds transfer are: Economic projects underway including economic projects led by women, childcare, AETCR with land and housing, people certified in job competencies – promoting women, health and rehabilitation for people with disabilities. Progress will be monitored in committees at different levels, with representatives from entities with responsibilities in the reintegration policy, the European Union and Member States and representatives of the population in process of reincorporation . It also includes technical assistance and support to the Workshop School for training.
